About Rob.
I was born and raised in the Bronx, and teaching runs in my family. My father taught math in the Dominican Republic, and my mom works as a paraprofessional in NYC schools today. Growing up around that, I picked up a habit: whenever I learned something, I learned it so I could teach it.
That habit took me into sales, where I built and trained teams across the country and around the world. Traveling became my classroom. I learned history by standing where it happened, and it showed me how big the world really is. I came from humble beginnings and got to do things I once only imagined.
When I started the In the Living Room Podcast and saw it grow to over 500,000 hours watched on YouTube, I asked myself a bigger question. Who is the most important audience for this message? If I could have reached the younger me with lessons on self-development and perseverance, where would I be today?
That's why I created Learn Laugh Heal. I've worked with students from 4th grade through high school, including a 12-week program with 50 students at Bronx High School for the Visual Arts. I want every student to know their life is bigger than their circumstances or their block. In our program, students learn that writing a thought down is the first step to making it real, and saying it into a microphone gives it power. They leave with stronger communication skills, more confidence, and a voice they know how to use. use.
